CorPower Ocean CEO Mr. Patrik Möller says, “The HiWave-5 demonstration project aims to bring wave power to a mainstream energy source, incorporating solutions that allow simple and efficient operation of wave energy farms.”

The “300 kW C4 machine”, CorPower Ocean’s first commercial-scale wave energy converter is being tested, 4 km off the coast of Agucadoura, in northern Portugal. The firm is verifying its innovative operational methods for connecting and disconnecting the C4 machine. The C4 will be undergoing cycles of testing—safety control and grid connection functions, and then will export power to the grid.
